SoArt Club, in addition to supporting artists and introducing them in international exhibitions, tries to help the growth and strengthening of civil society in Iran by designing and implementing various and diverse training courses.

Women, Children and Minorities
The SoArt Club is proud to announce the upcoming third edition of its Art Festival for Social Change, with a particular focus on women, children, and minority rights and concerns in Iran. The core mission of this festival is to unite artists who are passionate about addressing social issues and driving meaningful societal transformation. With the dedicated support of these artists, our festival aims to showcase artworks that shed light on the challenges faced by women, children, and minorities, while also actively contributing to the ongoing process of social change by creating a platform for meaningful dialogue and constructive debate. The SoArt Club warmly welcomes artists with a deep commitment to social issues to submit their works for consideration in our upcoming third edition festival.
Those interested in participating in the biennial SoArt Festival in the field of visual arts, have the opportunity to send a photo of their work or multiple pieces along with their full details and creations (maximum 3 pieces) to [email protected] until the end of February 2024 or apply through the form below.
The deadline for those interested in participating in the short film section is July 30th, 2024.
Requirements
For pieces to be accepted for the festival the following must be met:
- Complete the details in the submission form or send their details and photos of their work via e-mail by the deadlines.
- Minimum size: 16 by 20 inches -Maximum size: 42 by 60 inches
- Recommended size: 30 x 40 or 36 x 36 inches
Each of the following categories including: painting, photography, cartoons, graphics and short films must have a minimum of 8 participants with 8 eligible pieces to participate in the festival, otherwise we will have to remove that part of the festival.
Short Film
Filmmakers can send a copy of their film to participate in the festival (by sending downloadable links). The films should cover issues related to either women, children, or minorities. It is necessary to have English subtitles as well as the following technical specifications:
- Resolution: Minimum Full HD (1920x1080)
- Film Formats: MPEG 4-h264, Mov (h264), AppleProRes 422HQ
SoArt Festival’s Jury (2024)
Jury Selection Timeline
Visual Arts Section:The Visual Arts section’s jury will select 30 to 50 pieces to participate in the festival in March, 2024, based on the photos and videos received from the artists. In August 2024, the jury will decide on the festival’s best pieces from the previously selected pieces after reviewing the physical pieces.
Short Films Section: In the short film section, the jury will select the films to be screened at the festival in fall 2024.
Submit Pieces and Exhibition Design
Artists who have been selected for the festival are encouraged to submit their works to the festival's secretariat between April and June 2024. Please note that all postage costs, including the round trip, will be the responsibility of the participating artists.
The festival is scheduled to take place in the autumn of 2024, and we look forward to the exciting showcase of your artwork.
Introducing the Selected Work and Awards
Each section of the 2024 festival will showcase its featured works during the opening ceremony, and the talented artists behind them will be honored with a festival badge.
From these outstanding selections, the piece that has made the most significant social impact will be acclaimed as the Festival's Highlighted Work, and the exceptional artist responsible for it will be presented with a prestigious award.
Moreover, all participating artists will be granted a certificate of recognition for their contributions.
